Always Fresh, Never Frozen

Tomorrow’s Lunch and Learn Rescheduled

There’s no truth to the rumor that the Omaha Police Department has issued an APB for Elsa, the Disney queen whose magic inadvertantly encases her fanciful realm in a sheet of ice in the Disney flick Frozen.

But we thought it wise to reschedule tomorrow’s Lunch & Learn nonetheless. We’ll be at the same spot – Pizza West – and still the 3rd Tuesday – this time Feb. 21. If you haven’t already, reserve your spot now.

And there’s also no truth to the myth that you can safely preserve your digital marketing strategy in an icy freezer for future use. Just like at the dinner table, fresh and organic are paramount when it comes to the health of your online presence.

Time — at any temperature — is the enemy of your SEO initiative. Just when you thought you have everything buttoned down on how your business appears on the web, that info begins to atrophy the very moment you think you’ve nailed it. A search engine changing an algorithm or introducing a new capability erodes the information that helps you get found online.

MOZ reports, for example, that Google makes over 500 tweaks to its algorithm every year. That’s more than one per day!

And we agree with Search Engine Watch that “…SEO is not a phase, but a lifelong mentality; a permanent filter for looking at a website through the eyes of a search engine.”

Over time, actions beyond your control eat away at the quality, completeness and accuracy of your online presence.

Simply put, it has lost its freshness.

In an age of such head-spinning change, it’s no wonder that the most successful businesses are forever tweaking what works best in digital strategies designed to get found on the web and drive prospects to their door.

We’ve written before in this space how we believe that our experience has taught us that there is One Solid Path to success in the digital arena, and it begins with a foundation of strong SEO work that is continually cultivated and given the care and feeding that will yield an ideal crop of fresh, organic and profitable search results.

We’ll cover these and many more valuable insights in our Lunch & Learn sessions. You’ll see how to best manage such basics as organic growth and review strategies, but we also touch on:

  • Integrated marketing across channels and measuring online
  • Developments in Local SEO and Advanced SEO, including AMP, https and Schema.org
  • Content marketing planning and local engagement
  • Optimization, including search engine and conversions
  • Digital advertising strategies in 2017 and tracking all of your marketing

Remember, the pizza at our Lunch & Learns is on us. Oh, and just like our digital marketing efforts, it’s always fresh, never frozen.
