One Solid Path

Omaha Chamber Digital Series Gathers Local Experts

2016 is almost over.

What are you planning to do with your digital strategy in 2017?

From our experience, it’s never too late to shore up foundations.

New Plains Media will be the guest presenter at the Dec. 13 Greater Omaha Chamber’s Real Results in Digital Marketing – Foundations event, which will be held from 3:00 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. at UNO’s Community Engagement Center.

After our presentation, the Chamber has gathered some of Omaha’s top digital marketing talents to be there to help answer your individual questions. You don’t even have to be a Chamber member (though you should at least take a membership packet with you).

Which means I better get going on tweaking that presentation.

But back to the important questions.

Are your digital efforts sitting on a firm foundation?

Have you covered the two most common things undermining your entire digital strategy – Local SEO and Reviews – really well?

Are you using the best platforms for your business and most importantly, are they working together to make a measure impact?

Countless variables are at play in any online marketing strategy. The details that make up a path to success must be customized to a business’s mission, objectives and unique set of circumstances. And, yes, we’ll talk briefly about some of those details — again, just the basics — at a very high level.

But perhaps the key take-away from the session is that there are a lot of different paths — a dizzying array of opportunities — to be considered. Cookie cutter approaches have no place in this part of your business. However, we have found that the most effective efforts are built around the idea that all successful plans share the same strong foundation; that there is one solid path forward to winning.

When you incorporate a good-term long strategy with the tactics that work and fit your capabilities, your online strategy and investments become a very valuable asset, one that retains its value longer than most advertising expenses.

What’s it worth to be among the top businesses considered in your industry and to offer a digital presence that is authentic, engaging and helpful, earning trust and customer loyalty?

We’ll begin by demystifying some common pain points that can trip up any busy entrepreneur whose focus may be split a million different directions:

  • How search engines work and how to make them work for you
  • The blurring of search functions (Google, and guess who) and social media functions (Facebook, and a group you might not have thought of) and how to navigate the two activities that dominate online behavior.
  • The importance of aligning your online strategy so that the buyer’s multichannel journey is fostered every step of the way in a cohesive strategy that wins business.

We rejoined the Chamber after learning of the education opportunities. Nobody’s ever accused of us of not networking. This is the second part in their Real Results in Digital Marketing Series, kicked off by B2 Interactive and Webtivity earlier this year, who collectively have helped steer countless millions of prospects to their clients.

We get smarter just standing next to them. We’re proud to work with these and other Chamber partners including Infogroup, KETV, Get Vyral and others.

Partly inspired by Google’s Get Your Business Online program, Member Services Director Diane Poots has been leading the group organizing the series and there’s some top notch talent preparing to offer a wide range of educational sessions touching on different tactics, including data management, video and online advertising to name a few.

So stay tuned for more.

Hopefully this session next Tuesday helps set a foundation for all the pieces as you move forward in 2017. We would look forward to seeing you there.
